Tracy comes from a background of athletics and competition as she grew up a multi-sport athlete, a collegiate All American in soccer, and was eventually inducted into the Elon University Athletics Hall of Fame as a 3 sports athlete. After school, her orientation shifted to healthcare as she studied to become a physician assistant in orthopedic surgery, always with her focus on supporting an active lifestyle for all. In July of 2010, after years of ineffective and unfulfilling fitness endeavors, things changed. At the urging of a close friend she attended her first fundamentals CrossFit class. Five minutes of wallballs was all it took to hook her…and destroy her. The idea of “constantly varied functional movements” opened a whole new perspective on athletics and fitness for her. Not only does she enjoy coaching and educating others on the CrossFit methadology (she considers herself a CrossFit disciple), she enjoys competing in this “sport of fitness.” She has enjoyed successes in the competitive environment, not only on a local platform, but as a competitor on a team at the CrossFit Games in 2012. Spend 10 minutes with her and you may find some of her CrossFit enthusiasm will rub off on you!
